I haven’t gone on the annual Tour D’ Thumb for several years now. I almost went this year, but I had a dream the other night. A bad dream.
I dreamt that Sammy and Tommy Licavoli left early in the morning and drove directly to Grindstone, only to find the wind blowing and the waves breaking. In the dream they reported that the wind was so vicious that the lures blew back at them. My dream continued that Dave and Nick Pennington met Sam, Frank and Joe Licavoli and Doug Powers in Sebewaing for breakfast. After eating they drove to Caseville where they met up with Sammy & Tommy at the marina. Then Joe Robbins and Dale Manley joined us in Caseville. They weren’t about to fish either.
The bad dream continued that they caught zero fish, and the weather was cold and windy. In fact, I dreamed that they talked to people who had been fishing since day-break without a single fish.
The dream included eating at the Riverside for lunch, and a stop at the Bay Port Inn for Keno. And neither stinkin’ place had desert! And then I woke up and decided not to go again this year.
Sam had a premonition too. I wonder if he wants to tell about his “signs of fishing to come?”
